Risk Control at No Additional Cost
The alliance provides Risk Control at no additional cost. Over the past twenty five years, we have developed a comprehensive database on public entities and municipalities throughout the midwest. This database allows intelligent decisions regarding risk management. Using this database, our Risk Control Department has developed guidelines to help municipalities prevent and manage property and liability loss exposures. These guidelines use proven risk control and risk transfer techniques.

Implementation of our Risk Control program is achieved through a variety of methods including:

  • Risk Control Profiles - We make actual visits to municipalities and identify existing and/or potential liability exposures.

  • Recommendations - We follow up the visit with a written review and risk control recommendations to assist in reducing the areas of liability exposure.

  • Technical Assistance - We provide assistance in the development of policies and procedures.

  • Policy and Procedure/Contract Reviews and Comments - We will review policy and procedure manuals as well as contracts submitted by our clients.

  • Meetings and Seminars - We keep our clients current on relevant issues through frequent meetings and seminars.

  • Resource Materials - We offer regularly updated and continuously developed resource materials to assist in manual revision as well as providing general education.
